Rarely, do we see such vile wizards like Balart, unfortunately, when they do appear they can be very dangerous. Balart is a very intelligent mage, he graduated from the Moonglow Mages Academy at the top of his class. He remained unknown until now. He has almost perfected an experiment that could mean the destruction of the land. Recent happenings foretell of a dark future if Balart is not silenced. Balart was first heard from about a week ago when a theif appeared in Vesper. Jeff was his name and he carried a mystreious crystal. The Crystal gave off a strange green glow. In an interview with the theif he stated that he stole it from the wizard Balart after Balart refused to pay him, when he delivered the crystal to Balart. Balart merely took the crystal and had his guards escort Jeff the theif out. Thast night Jeff snuck into the house and removed the crystal. Unfortunately, Jeff was no more enlightened on why Balart wanted the crystal then we were. Days passed and we saw no sign of Balart, until Kerr the Skeleton came running into town asking for assylum. The city guards granted his request and asked him what happened. He explained that the wizard Balart had kept him trapped in him tower. He also said that Balart was raising and enslaving creatures from the netherworld to attack town and reek havoc across the land. Kerr had been trapped in the tower for two months and treated very poorly. Kerr decided to warn us humans so that we could defend against the man Kerr described as, "mean." When one brave warrior asked where he could find Balart, Kerr said, "The tower is located near the hedge maze." Preliminary reports have failed to find any sign of the tower, but the possibility that Balart is using his magic to hide the castle is very likely. Kerr had one last piece of infromation to share before he had to revert to a slime form temporarily. He stated that the plans of Balart were still in full swing and the attack from Balart could occur within the next month. It would be very prudent to heed the warnings of the people of Kerr and Jeff. It is very unlikely that they would be trying to misinform us. If Balart is truly capable of doing what Ker and Jeff claim then I fear much blood will be spilt by the people of Britannia to stop the forces of evil. |
