The journey was long and exhausting, but I had finally made it. I had
earned the 4000 gp needed to buy a large dragon ship. This ship was a
mixed blessing though. It brought both good and bad times. As with all
good stories I shall start from the beginning, from the day I recieved
the last gold I would need. And so the story begins... The sun was setting on the outskirts of Britain. That day of hard work had paid off well, I earned the last few coins I would need for my very own ship. My empire needed a ship and who better to provide it than the emperor himself. I rushed into town and weaved my way through the hoards of people. At the bank I deposited the last of my gleaming gold. It was getting late and the stores were beginning to close. I knew that if I bought my boat in time I would be able to use it the next day. As dusk set, I arrived at the shiprights and bought the deed to a brand new, large dragon ship. Ahh, soon I would be sailing on the open seas, little did I know the dilema I would soon face. With my deed in hand I headed out to view the perfect spot for my ship. It was little surprise that the docks were full, after all Britain was the trade center of Britannia. What I didn't expect was that the entire coastline would be crowded with boats. Ship after ship filled every piece of shore, it looked as if this town were some village that relied on fishing to keep its economy alive. It was getting late after this so I decided to retire for the night. Perhaps tomorrow I would find a spot. The next day came and I realized it was time for an event I had read about called the Knowledge Gathering. The event took place in Minoc and I was no where near there. When I arrived it was nearly mid-afternoon, nobody was around and there was certainly no gathering of knowledge. With nothing to do I wandered around. Soon I was at the shore and, what did I find?...shoreline as far as the eye could see. I quickly placed my boat, got used to the controls, named it The Red Dragon, and was off. By the end of that day I had reached Serpent's Hold. I slept there for the night and decided to not rely on the stars for navigation. The next day was when the adventure began. After searching this local port I was off again, I decided to travel to Occlo. The journey was easy but I had ende up on the wrong side of the island I decide to sail around. This was my mistake. Halfway through the journey some strange sense came upon me and the |

world froze. It was as if some outside mechanism had malfunctioned (A mage later told me that
an all mighty being called "Computer" was responsible for the strange event.).
When I came to I was happy to see I was in one peice and safe. I was on a dock in the
town of Serpent's Hold. Yes, the same town I had started my journey in, worse my boat was nowhere
to be found. It was lost at sea. I had nothing not even any money. Also I had no way off the island, no moongate, nothing. I asked a man at the inn and he couldn't gate me to the mainland, but he was able to direct me to the local bank. Once at the bank I stumbled onto a helpful virtue guard who would gate me. When he opened the gate, I was so gracious that I gave him 100 gold. After all I was desperate. Back at the mainland I went to an inn and got some rest. Although the birds chirped the next day I was not in a very cheerful mood, all my hard work was down the drain. Then it happened by some stroke of insight it flashed into my mind. It hit me as if I had learned the secret of spinning thread into gold. "If my boat was not at the dock in Serpent's Hold, where was it?" I decided to analyze the question and came up with two possibilities. First, the boat had kept traveling in the direction it was sailing or second, the tiller stopped the boat adrift in the middle of the ocean. Since, my second choice required me to have a boat to look for my first one, I decide not to follow it at the moment. I traced the northern path of the boat to a small section of land East of Vesper. I traveled there and began my search. Across the coast I combed, looking for my boat. All the boats were foreign. Soon it was getting late, I decided to head back. Then out of nowhere I spotted a boat parked irregularly. The name of the boat was The Red Dragon. I took out my key and inserted it into the key hole then, Viola! The keyed turned and the plank dropped. I cleaned up the boat and was ready to leave. I decided to get to civilized as soon as possible after passing several player killer towers. I sailed to Nu'jelm and parked, I dropped anchor and disembarked. My feelings were racing. Happiness poured from me. I could sail again. And now I am here to write to evryone today. After looking at how much I have written I have decided to not bore you anymore. And so I end with the ability to sail once again for the better of the Krosis Imperium and all humanity. --Krosis |
