Recent news from the realm is that the orcs and Zog Cabal have join forces in some evil plot of their own. Last night it was apparent when the orcs set a diversion for the Zog Cabal. This news is most distressing. For as night had almost set the orcs came out of the forest and began a massive assault on the shrines of the land. Major damamge has resulted from this incident and it will take much time to repair. One interesting point to make is that the orcs were fighting along side lizard men, fro what I hear these two factions are long time rivals. From witness accounts the orcs appeared to have very precise and well thought out battle tactics. These types of tactics are well above what the orcs are capable of developing, so someone must have told the orcs what to do. The guards responded to the shrine attacks immediately and were worn very thin. This is when the Cabal took action. The attacks were almost too perfectly planned to be coincidence. As these attacks were taking place the Zog Cabal attacked a supply transport on its way to Skara Brae from Trinsic. The attacks occur at the same time , so the guards could not respond to all of the cries for help. This is when the head of the Trinsic guard called for help. People responded immediately, but alas this was too late. Although the shrine had been retaken the supply transport was missing. Soon the entire town was aroused and a search ensued. Little of the caravan was found save a few scraps of cloth and bodies. All the supplies had been taken and the brutal attakc left no survivors. Little is known about the actual battle. Among the casualties was the wife of the acting head of the Trinsic Guard. Only a necklace was found of heres and was returned to her husband. It is also interesting to point out that only the Trinsic Guards knew about the caravan before it set out yet the Zog Cabal knew where to find it and what cargo it carried. Yes the cargo, perhaps the most interesting and frightening piece of information of all. The transports carried weapons and armor. Not the local stuff you can buy anywhere but the big stuff. Full sets of plate, halberds, some of the finest armor to be found across the land. And now it is in the hands of the Zog Cabal. The list of questions continues in in the news of the land. Why have the orcs joined forces with the lizard men and the Zog Cabal? Is it for land or money or have the Zog Cabal brainwashed them somehow? This is most disturbing. Also, why did the Zog Cabal slaughter the caravan when they clearly outnumbered the guards? I hope this is put to an end soon, but from what I have seen so far much more blood will be spilt before the end. |
